Our Story

  • Hi, I’m Tia and these are the doggos. Meet Koa, Em, Zoey and the big one, Ursula.

  • From the Beginning.

Growing up, my family ALWAYS loved pets. We had two guinea pigs when I was really little, and then when I turned 8, we got our first puppy. Having the companionship of a four-legged friend has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.

  • How Our Zoo Came To Be.

When I got older, my appreciation and love for dogs grew even stronger as I realized how much joy they brought my mom. We always had wiener dogs, three to be exact, but a few years ago my mom fell in love with great danes, so we started rescuing and fostering them and that’s how Ursula entered my life.

  • F*ck Cancer.

My mom had a ten-year battle with a very rare cancer, and I believe the dogs were an integral part of her coping with the disease. I have a lot of fond memories of my mom and me with the dogs – from travelling to California to pick up Koa, to the daily ritual of a teatime treat where we would feed the dogs their favourite afternoon meaty snacks.

  • Our Mission.

My mom passed away this year and left a pretty big hole in my life. I started Redemption as a way to celebrate my love for my mom, our love for dogs, and naturally, our dogs love for their favourite chews. I hope you and your dogs enjoy our box

Our Story

I started Redemption as a way to celebrate my love for my mom, our love for dogs, and naturally, our dogs love for their favourite chews.

Although the way I inherited these dogs isn’t exactly how I had planned, I’m trying to make the best of my circumstances by looking for the positives instead of the negatives. This project isn’t just a business, it’s a way for me to redeem my situation and focus on my favourite parts of life, like the tea time treat ritual, instead of the worst parts.

The act of redeeming is to compensate or offset for someone’s or something’s faults -it’s making up for the bad things in life. Every day, you can choose to redeem your day, you can change how you feel about yourself and things around you by finding the good in the bad. By doing this, you set yourself on a path to live your best life and who better to share it with than your doggo.
